Winter Was Warm

Like many New Englanders, we played lots of golf over the weekend. 9 holes on Saturday - with temperatures hovering around 70 - and 18 on Sunday, when it was just a bit cooler. We played for the first time at Pomperaug Golf Course a 9 hole course in Southbury, that's part of a resort complex. It was a friendly place with a nice variety of holes and length. With so few local courses open however, it was quite crowded and pretty slow going. In fact, that's why we only fit 9 in on Saturday. But that was fine with me as it allowed me to practice my putting and chipping for over an hour while we waited. And my practice session seemed to yield immediate results. I felt good about that. Of course my fairway shots were shit not working well, and as a result I lost tons of balls to the numerous water hazards. All in all though, it was pretty awesome for an early January weekend in our parts, and I'm hoping like hell heck it continues.

  4. Stacy, we're just abt 1/2 hour - 45 min. north of Dunwoodie...on the border of Fairfield (CT) and Westchester (NY) counties. There are some great courses up here, you should make the trip. As Anon said, Richter Park is gorgeous.

  5. Hitting over water is fun, you need to learn to like it instead of dreading it. . .

Kind of like riding a roller coaster, scary, but once you overcome it, you look forward to the next one and the next one . . .

    ;-)!!!

  6. Patricia,

You always look great in the pictures.

While you are very attractive and photogenic, hats off to Nick for being such a great photographer.

Nick is truly the man behind the beauty.

  7. Nick's an OK photographer, but very temperamental. Every time I interrupt him mid-swing to take a photo of me he gets all mad. Sometimes he even refuses to take the picture! Yeah, he definitely needs a major attitude adjustment before we can call him a great photographer.
