The Power of a Guy's Pink Golf Shirt

I wrote about golf guys in pink months ago. The topic however, still seems to be sizzeling... and laden with sociological implications, as Dan Bernstein recently described in his story, Sex and the Golf Shirt.

Love the look or hate it, there's no question pink remains a controversial color for guys. Which makes me wonder how lavender would go over.

  1. Very strange that you should post this today. Over the weekend I reluctantly wore a pink Lacoste that my wife gave me last Christmas and was amazed on how many compliments I got. There's something to the pink on guys thing.

  2. I had a pink shirt, with a Lacoste logo, like the one in your pictures. This was back in the eighties, and the pink color was the result of an accident between the perfectly white shirt and a red sock. Well, the sock won and was still red, and the shirt was pink. Which didn't stop me from wearing it. But i don't know if it prevented some contacts with the other gender. :)

  3. I wear pink and just ordered a custom lavender shirt. I'm secure in my manhood I guess.

  4. I remember the first time I saw Arnold Palmer in person, about five years ago, he was wearing a Pick Shirt and he was asked if was making a statement...OH, did I mention I also got to see another side of Arnold Palmer that day...he did not like that comment at all and told the reporter to send him anyone who has an issue with his shirt. I take it that if the King does Pink than it is good enough for me...I have a Pink Shirt from the Masters... I like it a lot.

  5. I often wear a pale pink polo from Tommy Hillfiger.
My girlfriend means I look sharp in it, so she gave me buying advice on that one... and to be honest I haven't regret a second of that purchase.
I have no problems with wearing pink now... I'm totally ok with it... as long as it doesn't make me look like a fool, but that rule goes with every color I'd say.
