Win Amazing Golf Prizes With the 2010 Golf Census

By Jordan Farr (with Meredith Horton)

So... we’re going to let you in on a little secret and you have to promise that you wont tell anyone you'll tell every golfer you know. Are you ready??

Okay, there's a really easy way for you to win the most amazing golf prizes ever!

We’re so not talking about t-shirts and caps... not that we have anything against t-shirts and caps... but what we're talking about here are... dream vacations: Scotland, Ireland Pinehurst and Pebble. Also, major championship ticket packages, golf instruction with Annika Sorenstam and equipment prizes so vast and varied that we get dizzy with excitement just thinking of them!  And as we were saying, it's really, really easy.

All you have to do is fill out the American Golf Census. It takes less than 5 minutes, because it's just a few basic questions,  and here's the thing: the census supports the game of golf. By being counted, you'll be helping policymakers understand how golf enhances the lives of millions of Americans from all walks of life. So if you play golf, please take part in the census; for the game we love and for the awesome prize possibilities.  Tell your golfing friends too, you get additional entries for doing so.

As for us gals at Golf Girl Media, we happen to have a nerdy obsession with statistics so we're looking forward to the results.

  1. Great message to golfers! Be counted! It can only be good for the game.

  2. Other countries actually have government programs to grow the game, especially now that it's back in the Olympics. It's going to get harder and harder for the US to compete if we golfers don't work to support and grow the game.

  3. I support it by playing more often than I probably should. Ha ha. Also just did the census.

  4. During the great depression FDR allowed golf to play a role in the nation's economic recovery. The unemployed were engaged to build public golf courses. If today's politicians see that golf is important to enough people maybe they'll create similar programs to reconfigure struggling courses into shorter, more environmentally friendly courses. Just a thought.

  5. It is easy and it does that less than five minutes, now if only I can win one of those prizes. :)

  6. .

maybe i shouldn't rain on this parade but IMHO the national golf foundation, although a not-for-profit, is, how can i say this delicately, is the least accessable public source of golf data for research and even limits disclosures to golf industry magazines and news articles unless they are paid for them

i don't know, and maybe it's just me, and yes, even the church charges for bibles, but the NGF takes it to another level

i realize they are established to cater to the golf related real estate developers and country club operators, of which i am neither, so i maybe took it too personally when access was repeatedly denied, but even the USGA doesn't interact with the NGF

having said that, well, i rest my case and really don't intent to disuade anyone from a free trip offer

    anyway be well

  7. Golf Growl: Yes, the moment I saw this .. ok the moment Patricia saw this and sent it to me, I couldn't wait to share it with all of you! I think it would be great for the game as well!

TheGolfShark: This is very true! We need to change our thought process about the golf to progress into a country with a competitive edge against other countries.

MM (my new nickname for MarcoMan :) ): Lol you and I both!!

Jenn: I agree 100% thank you for the thought, maybe GGM can start a petition or something, what do you think?

Frank: Sorry to hear that... The prizes are a great incentive though... However i dont know how one gets denied to a public course that isn't right
Ash: Yes! I probably takes less than a minute actually! And good luck! I want to win too! What is your favorite prize your hoping for?
