  1. Rory doesn't have the matinee idol looks of a Martin Kaymer or an Adam Scott but he's certainly got his fair share of female admirers now. My 14-year-old daughter being one of them. She actually watched his whole round with us yesterday. ;)

  2. The kid's got more personality than Kaymer and Scott - and Tiger - put together. He's going to be great for the game.

  3. When 14 year old girls are sitting down to watch the US Open this means that Rory has officially made it mainstream. I agree that his personality makes him great for the game. Not to mention the fact he had an epic meltdown (which all golfers can relate to) then came back strong and with amazing resolve. LOVE Rory!

  4. and he has a bit of an adversarial history with Tiger too, which is also a really good thing.

Although many a wannabe golf scribbler has been quick to dismiss Mr. Woods as "no longer relevant" those most closely connected to the game seem certain that prognostication is way premature.

A healthy Tiger battling his impatient heir apparent... that would be a great story on many levels.
