Noochie Golf - Creative Kids Design an Innovative Miniature Golf Game

Dom & Tre LoBrocco, the brothers behind Noochie Golf                                                                     Check out their Kickstarter campaign

A routine family outing has inspired a couple of Arizona brothers to create Noochie Golf, a multi-faceted miniature golf game for home use... and they're now ready to take it to the next level.

One evening the LoBrocco boys.. second grader Dom and third grader Tre... went to a local course and played a round of Miniature Golf with their parents. The following day, the seeds of invention had been planted in the grade schooler's minds...  and a makeshift course of plastic bottles and cardboard boxes covered the LoBrocco's living room floor.

Over the following weeks, the young men continued to tweak their homespun track, creating a variety of different holes from the same basic pieces, their parents encouraged the creative pursuit and ultimately helped Dom and Tre to develop a durable, high quality product comprised of 4 parts that can be combined in 15 different ways.

Now to give credit where credit's due, it was younger brother Dom aka "The Nooch" who came up with the idea for an a play-at-home miniature golf game, but the concept of various configurations and interlocking pieces? That was big brother Tre... who also did the preliminary design for the Noochie Golf Logo.  I'm guessing "The Nooch" was responsible for the name.

The family worked together to create a prototype which they presented at the 2013 Chicago Toy & Game Fair in November to stellar reviews from both consumers and the industry. The LoBrocco's next step is to get the first 5000 sets produced and start selling Noochie Golf to the public.  To that end there's the  Noochie Golf Kickstarter Campaign which will run through March 22, and accepts donations of as little as $1.  It's a great way to support a couple of entrepreneurial kids... kids with big dreams based on miniature golf.

  1. When I was a kid we used to set up minigolf courses in our playroom. Unfortunately we never golf beyond the cardboard box stage. Then my brother "drove" a ball through the basement window and it was all over.

  3. At this point my little ones much prefer playing with boxes than with the toys they come it... maybe Noochie Golf will be the exception.

  4. It's such a cool concept and amazing that these two little kids thought of and developed the idea. We can't wait for our little one to come of age to really start playing, but for now she loves to putt. It's a great gift idea. Thanks so much for sharing!
