Some traditions fall by the wayside too, and with them quite a few inhibitions. Like the one that dictates you shouldn't use your putter for your tee shots... or the inhibition of wearing three differnt argyle patterns. Simultaneously.
I witnessed both of those occurances last week at New Jersey's Black Bear Golf Club. I was there with Cat for the PUMA Open and it was extremely awsome. The competition was exciting and challenging - if somewhat unorthodox - and there was dinner and a casino evening. I'll have more details for you on this fantastic event plus a video a bit later.
Looks like FUN! I love the PUMA golf shoes... there the only golf shoes I wear on AND off the golf course.
ReplyDeleteEw, I remember Black Bear, cart paths only. I wouldn't play there for free.
ReplyDeleteNice blog though.

It seems that would be a good way to introduce a younger age group to golf without the intimidation factor.
ReplyDeleteSome will probably complain that it creates the false impression that golf is fun and not work. ;)
