Golf Season's Last Major is LPGA Legends Tour's First

.
The Island Course at the gorgeous Innisbrook Resort in Palm Harbor, FL, was the setting today for the first round of the last major of the 2009 golf season.

The field at the inaugural LPGA Legends Open Championship includes no less than five World Golf Hall of Famers, competing with dozens of other legendary LPGA players for a $300,000 purse in The Legends Tour's first ever major championship. Today's round ended in a three way tie for first place.

These ladies have some great stories and TampaBay.com's Joe Smith tells a number of them. Also, follow the tournament... and the Tour... online and get to know the amazing personalities and record-breaking skills of the LPGA Legends.

  2. These ladies are so classy, it's great to see them all out there again.

I see that Jane Seymour is there at the event with them, I hope she brought her Sweet Spot putter!
