Rory McIlroy shared details of what sounds like a festive post-Ryder Cup evening.
It appears the solid gold trophy was put to good use. Further tweets indicate that a rousing ping pong competition ensued, with Woods/Mickelson dominating the table.
it just goes to show that as long as the real drama is in the play, ALL the other distractions - the weather, the clothing, the tweeting, the weather, the captain's decisions, etc etc - don't matter
Stewart Cink was the goat of the Ryder Cup. He had several short putts on the back 9 that could have closed out the match, giving the U.S. the extra half point they needed for victory.
I know the necessity of it was all his own doing but the 5 footer Rory holed on #18 for the half was an excellent putt. Hope the experience stands him in good stead for an assault on majors next year.
I'm impressed by the sheer number of exclamation points in Rory's tweet. I guess that's what happens when you win a Ryder Cup. ;)
ReplyDeleteSamuel Ryder would have been proud... but I doubt he'd have a taste for Red Bull.
ReplyDelete.

totally impressed with the tweeting ness of the Euro team during the cup...I think they out tweeted the US too ;-)
ReplyDeleteWoods and Mickelson dominate on the ping pong table but can't find chemistry on the course together.
ReplyDeleteor... the chemistry that took place in the when the Jagermeister hit the RedBull was excellent the chemistry on the golf course, not so much. ;)
ReplyDeleteActually, the tournament was great!!!
Solhiem Cup next year. Let's make sure that's just as exciting. HABs and all. :>)
ReplyDeleteI got a kick out of that tweet too.
