Golf Girl's Controversial Masters Prediction

I could have gone with Tiger Woods. But I didn't.

I'm pulling for a player who often elicits a rather... visceral...
reaction. ~ A player who, admittedly, hasn't been playing too
well lately and who openly acknowledges that Augusta is far from
his favorite place to play. So why did I pick this particular player?

I just feel like it's his time to win. It's as scientific as that.

Anyway, to further advance my case I made this Sergio video mashup
and set it to the sweet, hopeful song, "I'm Yours" by Jason Mraz.

  2. Love the video! Mr. Garcia has never looked so good. You know I'm a Mr. Villegas fan, but I admire your loyalty. Did you buy a new TaylorMade driver to prove your commitment to Mr. Garcia? ;o)

  3. I'd love to see Sergio, Phil & Tiger within a stroke of each other on the back nine Sunday...

  4. Patricia,

Nice job on your Sergio/Masters video. I don't believe science was involved in your choice, however chemistry is considered science, so maybe it was. But I think with you it involves looks, lust, and Spaniards. LOL. Just kidding. I hope he has a good tournament and it would be great if he took home the Green jacket.

  5. Chris, never underestimate the power of looks, lust and Spaniards. LOL.

Heather, Camillo was my prefered golf guy too, now I'm not so sure, but it would be great to see these "playas" in contention.

  6. Great job on the video! I assume, you have already placed a protest with Mike Vitti's Power Rankings...lol. Good Luck with Sergio. I'm pulling for Greg Norman, even though it won't happen, but its a nice thought.

  9. He's definitely got a chance - you're right - but I don't think it is his time.

I really can't look past Tiger to be honest, but if I was to root for a young outsider, it would be Camilo Villegas for sure.

  10. My dark horse is Geoff Ogilvy. THe last several winner's are grinders and he fits that bill.

    Nice work suit.

  11. Hahahaha... great video, Patricia! Can't see Sergio winning though. He'll choke if he's in contention...

  12. Some of us go with our heart and you just might be going with your eyes or could it be his Spanish accent? Outside shot = Camilo Villegas

  13. I think ur husband should kno about this crush because picking Garcia coupled with this video is a step to far! The guy has little chance of picking up a Green Jacket this year. He despises Augusta!

  14. Love the montage! He's coming off a tough week, so it would be quite the come-back if he did win.
I gave up my opportunity to go to the Master's this week to my BroInLaw, he is SO excited! Check another off the bucket list for him!

  17. Good bet Patricia. And, over all, good job ;-)

I bet for Miguel Angel Jimenez, but I will be with my fingers crossed until the sunday, to support all the spanish golfers in Augusta.

  19. Very positive take on Sergio Garcia but, as you know, I am a Mickelson fan ;-)

Sergio was much cuter when he was younger. Remember how he ran after his shots, jumping around the course to see where his ball had gone?

PS: I noticed you left out the "dribble" incident...

*Never played Richter Park but would love to...hmmm...

  21. Now I know what the expression "Man Crush" means, and ironically up till now I couldn't stand Sergio Garcia.

The video is really well done!

  25. Sergio hasn't got a chance in Augusta. It's just not a course that works with his game. He'll lose it on the greens. Note to Garcia groupies he'll probably be free this weekend.

The video is nice though :o)

  26. "My dark horse is Geoff Ogilvy."

The #4 in the world can hardly be considered a dark horse, unless you consider the entire field a dark horse behind the World's #1...which most people do.

Ogilvy has the game to win: long and accurate off of the tee, good iron game, excellent short game and great with the putter. Most of all, he has the right mentality to compete and win in Augusta. That and he could stand up to Tiger Mania if he is in a horse race in the same pairing down the stretch.

  28. You know me, J. Milkha Singh is my guy, but that's just a man crush. My true darkhorse for the Masters this week is Steve Stricker. The man is due for a major.

  31. Grrrrrr. Enough with the Sergio love...... He's only good when it's the Ryder cup.

He's a whiny, defensive, underachieving baby. PLEASE stop talking about him.

I love you, honey, but the Sergio stuff makes me nuts.
