Well, those who were
A. muttering and shaking his head.
B. stepping out of his stance and kicking a bug.
C. slamming his 3-wood into his bag (then aggressively attacking a peanut butter, jelly and banana sandwich).
Clearly, the tempestuous Tiger still has some work to do if he wants to regain his role model status.
But, if you're talking about "roll models" you might be onto something, at least if you judge from this 33 foot birdie putt he made on the 17th hole today at the 2009 Buick Open.
Tomorrow Mr. Woods takes a one point lead into the final round at Warwick Hills G&CC.
Updated: Oh yes...and then he won.

Did he seriously kick a bug? Aw man, now the PETA folks are gonna be all over him. ;o)
ReplyDeleteFor heavens sake, don't anyone alert PETA to this, the poor old bug didn't have a chance.
ReplyDeleteI hope it was a nasty evil spider or creepy centipede, not a cute little ladybug or some kind of beautiful butterfly. :O
ReplyDeleteThe arrogant Mr. Woods hasn't changed an iota. I wouldn't bring my kids to watch him play and I'm hoping Letzig wins this one.
ReplyDeleteKicking that insect was totally justified. It was one of those pesky shutterbugs with a mini-camera.
ReplyDeleteOK he won, now he can go back to being a role model.
ReplyDeleteI'm not buying the role model thing. I will not have my children witness Tiger Woods attacking a defenseless sandwich. ;)
ReplyDeleteGolf Girl: Also, did you notice how he threw his golf ball "at" the crowd and not "into" the crowd while sporting an evil smile!
ReplyDeletePatricia: I love you!
Tiger's not perfect, no one is. Let's have a camera follow you around all the time, Mr. Anonymous, and let's see how *your* image holds up!
ReplyDeleteTiger probably wasn't as AWOL like at the Open Championship because he doesn't care as much about the Buick. Little was on the line, so his emotions were in check. I'm guessing at the next major he'll be back to his potty mouth, club stomping ways...
ReplyDeleteI would not want some of you guys chronicling my life even on my BEST day...
ReplyDeleteParents are the f'ing role models, not actors or sports stars. They should know to take or leave them by age eight...
