Though his final round was less than stellar, Ross McGowan's Saturday 60 was low enough to allow him an easy win today at Madrid's Centro Nacional de Golf. A four birdie, three bogey 71 concluded Mr. McGowan's run to his first ever European tour title at the 2009 Madrid Masters.
So, now it's off to the Algarve for this newly minted champion. His next stop will be Oceânico Victoria Golf Course, in Vilamoura, Portugal, where beginning October 15 the European Tour will be contesting the Portugal, Masters. The defending champion there is none other than the extremely

He got off to a shaky start this morning which can happen after an exceptionally good round. I'm glad he got it back together though.

ReplyDeleteI'm pretty sure it'll be OK. You've got Quiros defending and I think McIlroy and Harrington will be ther too so they should get a pretty good audience too.
