An Unlikely Pairing

I really like John Daly...and I love wine, but John Daly wines? Who da thunk it? Gotta say, "he da man"!

  1. I would have suspected that a line of John Daly wines would be found on the shelf right next to the Maddog 20/20 or Boone's Farm. Those seem more Daly's style and pace.

Daly strikes me as being a bare bones kind of guy who drinks for the sake of drinking or getting drunk...nothing wrong with that, but he doesn't impress me as being a wine connoisseur.

Many of the major golfers have a line of wines or their own vineyards...Greg Norman, Ernie Els and Arnold Palmer come immediately to mind, but then I would associate those three as being wine drinkers. Wine growing is big among athletes...Joe Montana, M. Andretti, lots of race car drivers actually.

BTW, your link to Daly's wines doesn't work.

  2. J. I agree abt the "drinking for the sake of drinking", that's what I found so incongruous. Thanks for the heads up abt the link, fixed it. P.
