There's a New Golf Girl in Town

...and she's a blogger too! She's the Fairway Flapper and she's been golf blogging since the beginning of the month. I discovered her blog yesterday during work during a break from work, and read it from start to finish. She blogs about golf shopping, golf celebrities and golf news. Her graphics are cute and her content is rendered in the unique voice of a dainty, refined lady who's ready to pick up her clubs and play with the boys. So check out Fairway Flapper and meet a new Golf Girl.

  2. my daughter wrote an essay that had to do with flappers and the roaring 20's, 30's and 40's. That was the 1st time I heard the word "flapper".

  4. I'm calling the shot - 2007 will go down as "The Year of The Woman" in golf...
I see a critical mass happening - more women are taking up the game, and getting hooked...Golf Galaxy and GolfSmith are both having "Women's Week's", the LPGA continues to get more interesting as the competition heats up and the new generation of rising stars gains prominence...
At a local level, I'm even working with a team of women to launch a Ventura County/Conejo Valley Chapter of the Executive Women's Golf Association - I hope to get Kristen "Golfchick" Williams involved with that project, too...
    Should be an interesting year...

  5. This reminds me of Jordan Baker, the woman from The Great Gatsby who golfed. She cheated, but that's beside the point.

  6. It's been ages since I read Great Gatsby. I had forgotten all about Jordan Baker. Yes, she cheated at golf but Nick had a thing for her.

  7. I love what Scott said - and, I really hope it rings true, both personally and globally.... Three cheers for 2007 as 'The Year of the Woman' in golf - I'm getting ready to open a ladies golf boutique and continue to find patricia and others as inspiration and testament to the fabulous, changing tide for Women in Golf.... Hip, Hip, Hooray! Hip, Hip, Hooray!!

Apologies for the idle content, I conveniently took a little hiatus the same day you started reading. I'm back & blogging now!
