While most of us girls would be flattered to be compared to Anna Kournikova, I'm sure it had begun to annoy Natalie Gulbis. She always reacted graciously to such comparisons but she obviously knew that "Anna Kornikova" had become code for "a pretty girl who never wins". Well, Natalie no longer qualifies for the Kornikova club. With multiple birdies today, including one on the first hole of a playoff with Jang Jeong of South Korea, she won the 2007 Evian Masters.
Congratulations Natalie, you're a sexy calendar girl, a superlative swimsuit model, a reality show star....AND a champion.
1 out of 4 ain't bad.
ReplyDeleteHaving won or not, she is still a buttah face though...
ReplyDeleteKournikova is still much hotter.
And she is smiling all the way to the bank...in Las Vegas. Great job Natalie..or is it Ms Gulbis now?
ReplyDeleteI'm still jumping for joy
ReplyDeleteThe suits at NBC,ABC and CBS should wake up and smell the roses. The LPGA should be front and centre every week on the networks.I have had enough of beach volleyball.
Congrats Natalie
I agree the major networks should show more LPGA events. And I am one who is happy to see Natalie win!
ReplyDeletei'll take Patricia and/or Becky c. over the overhyped, snot nosed calendar girl anyday.
ReplyDeleteHve you folks taken a close look at Natalie's swing - she has a violent head thrust on her downswing thru impact - it doesn't look like a swing that will hold up thru the years - what is Butch thinking? Maybe he should stop coaching her with his Johnson and start watching some old film of Mickey Wright swinging - a swing, btw, that hogan called the best swing he had ever seen - male or female.....
But wait a minute...Natalie adapted her swing due to injury...it's not the old corkscrew, extra vertebra thing anymore. She won with a more refined swing, I think. Right? Oh and thanks for the compliment re: Patricia and/or Becky...we'll take that any day...Right Becks?
ReplyDeleteno. watch the video. her down swing thru impact is still very "corkscrewish"
ReplyDeleteAnd unfortunately you elected to show Natalie displaying total disrespect for the American flag!
ReplyDeleteShame!
Defacating on the American flag is an absolute no-no.
ReplyDeleteI don't think you could find a more proud American than Natalie Gulbis. I'm quite sure no disrespect was intended. Quite the contrary. Frankly, disrespect of the American flag didn't enter my mind when I saw that photo.
ReplyDeleteI kind of thought some bleeding heart, flag waving liberal would pick this up and turn it around to something totaly diferent than it's intention. Natalie Gulbis was simply celebrating her victory as a proud USA citizen and member of the LPGA.
ReplyDeleteBill,
ReplyDeleteI guess I can generalize you as a left-leaning liberal? Then go some some weed and chill out. It was meant to be a joke. Get it?
