My predilection for pink is well documented, and "pinking out" is second nature for me.
But all golfers, and all golf fans... even those who aren't too fond of the rosy hue... are being asked to "pink out" by wearing a pink garment or accessory this weekend to help promote awareness for breast cancer research.
This national golf "pink out" isn't an "official" awareness day, but a rather spontaneous show of support for Amy Mickelson and the 1.3 million other women in the world who are diagnosed with breast cancer each year.
PGA TOUR players, their wives and caddies will be wearing their pink at The Crowne Plaza Invitational at Colonial as well, and with spectators pitching in and miles of pink ribbon draping the course's trees, the pink impact will surely be felt.
Meanwhile, the PGA TOUR has put a call out to fans everywhere, to post pictures of their own rosy regalia on the PGA Facebook fan page.
As for me, I'm still trying to decide on an outfit...from a closet overflowing with pink options.
(UPDATE) - Today at Candlewood Valley CC in New Milford, CT.
Love your outfit. I just got the Intimidator by Sweet Lies. It's so cute ! I'm posting a picture tomorow.

ReplyDeleteSuper cute picture! Thanks for posting it on the PGA TOUR Facebook page and adding a link in your post. We should do "pink out" more often...it brought out some great fashion from players and fans!
