.
She's an LPGA golf champion and a fundraising phenom with her own foundation. She's also getting ready to release her own wine.
And as if that weren't enough... Cristie's one of those girls who looks as good in jeans as she does in an evening gown. (OK... some might find that last observation a tad superficial but damn ...I couldn't help noticing it.)
Then there's her legendary determination and amazing energy level. Over the next couple of weeks Ms. Kerr will be calling on both of those attributes as she gets ready to host the yearly Birdies For Breast Cancer fundraiser next weekend, and compete with Team USA in the Solheim Cup a the week after that.
Recently, Steve DiMeglio wrote about Cristie's many commitments for USA Today.

I don't think it's superficial to notice she looks awesome in jeans and a dress. Cristie is clearly comfortable in her own skin and therefore wears many different looks and roles well.
ReplyDeleteI'm psyched for the Solheim Cup.
She looks better in the evening gown.
ReplyDeleteShe looks great with jeans
ReplyDeleteIt is impressive that Cristie is the top ranked American player and also manages to be a dedicated, active fundraiser and public figure. She will hopefully be able to inspire some of the younger players, as well as potential female golfers who may understandably be hesitating to pursue the sport due to the issues the LPGA is currently experiencing.
ReplyDeleteHopefully the US team will be focused and will easily win as many are saying they will. My fear is that while Cristie Kerr is consistent, Some of the others are not.
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to see the Solheim outfits! The European outfits are online already, but I don't see the ones for the US team yet?
ReplyDeletethanks for covering this Patricia. I think Cristie is a great role model for the LPGA and truly has it all... dedication to the game, dedication to charity, good looks (dress or jeans..), and word has it a very nice person...
ReplyDeleteWe're supporting her event next week and I can't think of a more deserving group.
She looks great in everything or nothing
ReplyDeleteIt seems to me if the other high profile golfers really dedicated themselves to a charity, and took that as part of their brand instead of taking the cheesy route, the LPGA tour would have more loyal fans who actually cared about it instead of frat boys who'll move right on to the next Anna Kornikova-Danica Patrick swimsuit star.
ReplyDeleteAnna Rawson and Natalie Gulbis please take note.
No doubt about it, the LPGA needs more Cristie Kerrs right now. The news of lost tournaments just isn't stopping. As a fan I only wish there was more I could do to support the LPGA :\
ReplyDeleteleave anna@natalie time ck gettin back to her rookie figure just ticked sne has no friends
ReplyDeleteWhat I see is that Cristie Kerr has an "edge" to her that the other US players don't. I've been to a number of LPGA tournaments and watching her play there's definitely a unique kind of determination that you just don't see in the other Americans. She simply seems to want it more. That intensity probably makes some people think she's mean or doesn't like the fans but when you see what she does for her charity and how she puts herself out there all the time I don't see how that could be true. Not to sound sexist, but I happen to think she just plays more like the men play. She seems more single minded, more "in the zone" than the others. The women's game and the LPGA would benefit if more of the US players wanted to win more.
ReplyDeleteA credit to the game. And she gives a lot back. Go Cristie.
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing a lot of things inside your blog. I'm looking forward for more of your updates. Thanks again. :)
