The Sexiest Woman Alive Plays Golf Barefoot

The ultra sexy woman in question is Halle Berry, and she did, in fact, come out on top of Esquire's famous list last year.

Not long ago she was spotted on a the golf course with an entourage that included her little girl, 16-month-old baby girl Nahla, and Nahla's Dad, Gabriel Aubry

Ms. Berry wore a somewhat unconventional golf outfit that featured ... a lack of footwear.

OK, most of us couldn't get away with such a subversive style statement. But then most of us aren't Halle Berry.

  1. Can you imagine how good a freshly mowed putting green must feel on the feet.

And, Halle has been the sexiest woman on the planet for a dozen years or more...

  2. I've played some of my best games in flip flops....it's the future of golf ... not $150.00 shoes that ur suppose to take off the minute the game is over, hell, i wear my $150.00 golf shoes to the club in the evening after a round :)

  3. My dad has golfing sandals, and every so often he'll slip them off on the course. I'm moving to Hawaii in three weeks, and I think I'll be playing many rounds barefoot.

  4. One warning.

Check with your course superintendent. He would normally post certain chemicals he is using that day, but may not because he is assuming people are wearing shoes!!

If you have any cuts, sores or open wounds on your feet, be very, very careful - even with sandals.

  5. Vince makes a good point. I love our green and neatly groomed golf course, but mother nature gets a little help from science to make it so lovely.

Simply put, shoes are a good idea. However, maybe blue toenails would really freak my opponents out. Hmmmmm

  6. Sam Snead used to practice barefoot, as I wrote last week over at my blog. He said that without shoes it is easier to find your swing's natural rhythm, because without spikes it literally hurts to swing too hard. Click on over and watch the embedded video, Snead's ideas are indeed very interesting.

  7. I can relate. One time I played an entire round of 18 holes barefoot due to an excruciatingly painful blister on my heel. Your feet touching the well manicured grass is almost decadent and definitely luxurious. Come to think of it, I might just have to do that again sometime soon...

  8. Our 16th green is far enough from the clubhouse, but not too far and offers a great view of the entire Baltimore harbor skyline at night. In the OLD days at dusk, I am told, couples would walk to...

    (Figure it out)

  9. Katie - be VERY careful playing golf barefoot in Hawaii. There are lots of prickly plants and razor grass off the fairways.

  10. Playing without shoes sounds good in theory. However, walking 5 miles while avoiding all the sharp objects hidden in the grass seems like an impossible task.

  11. Lucky Katie moving to Hawaii... That said I'm one of those odd people who hate the feeling of wet grass on my feet. Have since I was a kid, I don't know why. :o\

  12. I have to be honest and say HB is not close to as sexy as Golf Girl. :)

  13. Golf greens do feel great on bare tootsies... I used to shuck my golf shoes back in the day when they had spikes as a matter of course whenever lightning would threaten... and play on rapturously! Go Halle

  14. I'm not a big golfer, myself, but I'm pretty sure other golfers don't go around hiding sharp objects in the grass.

And the maintenance done by the groundkeepers isn't entirely chemical. In fact, I used to live on a golf course, and I can't think of one time I saw them spraying weed killer or using fertilizer...

Barefoot is better, for just about everything. Especially in modern American society where everything is so clean and sterile. There is no excuse to wear shoes, really. Especially in an environment that invites it, like healthy green grass.

    Mmmmm... :)

  15. This seems like it would be fun to make a golf tournament out of. Of the few golf tournament ideas I have had, I think a tournament in which everyone plays barefoot is the best. The golf course maintenance could even groom the course so it is mostly safe for people in bare feet!
