Contextual Irony and New England Golf Weather ☃

I dare say, one would need more than a few tips to "stay warm on the course" when it's 23-33° with heavy snow and wind, but weather.com offered them anyway. My favorite was Mind Your Dimples.

  1. This has been a pretty weird year everywhere I think. I'm just hoping for a long, hot summer. B)

  2. I won't be stepping out on the course when it's 23-33 degrees. My cutoff is usually 50 degrees, and I'm in New England too so that really shortens my season! Where in New England are you?

  3. My son is getting ready to shovel 20 more inches of global warming...

  4. The polar bears seem to be the only ones experiencing global warming this year. This is the only time of year I wish one of my daughters had been a son. ;)

  5. I'm in CT Jeff, SW CT, and we've had a fair amount of snow this year, not as much as other places...but the temperatures have stayed pretty low so there hasn't been much meltage.

It's weird though, this year for the first time in ages I've been OK with winter. Loving x-country skiing and the fireplaces. Playing golf on an awesome simulator and using this as a break. Call me crazy, but it's working for me. :o)

  6. Everybody road trip down to Miami to visit me. You can all stay at mi casa. The only rule I have that my buddies and I had during college when our friends came down to visit for spring break is...BYOTP(Bring Your Own Toilet Paper). TP gets expensive and scarce when you have 6 extra bodies staying over. Stay warm everybody.

  7. It's not working for me, Patricia. NOT AT ALL!

What are you sipping? Maybe I've chosen the wrong beverage. ;o)

  9. I'm up in Mass., 20 miles down the coast from Boston. We're getting hit with a foot of snow today. No simulator for me unfortunately, but plenty of beverages!

  10. It's the same kind of *golf weather* here too. In West Texas. Crazy!
