The golf gossip mill is abuzz over the relationship developing between Oobgolf golf blogger Andrew Brown and gorgeous LPGA champion Paula Creamer. Seems it started at the PGA merchandise show last weekend and where it'll end up...is anyone guess, but some of the salacious details of their first date are here.Paula is such a nice girl, we can only hope she doesn't have her heart broken by that notorious Lothario of the Links.
I had one of those moments at the Kraft Nabisco last year where I had my Kodak moment with Paula but the Eveready Rabbit died in my camera. Paula is great for golf...she is very approachable after her round and will chat and take photos before she starts her pre-game routine. The tough photo to get is with Natalie.

ReplyDeleteHaving cut my teeth at only the most exclusive Conneticut Country Clubs, I first saw your blog as a testament to the more refined golfer. Your post(s) about golf travel abroad, fine wines, exclusive New England dinner parties with well bred individuals, fixation on things "french", etc, etc. were very appealing to our kind.
You now seem to be attracting golfers from the horrid municiple links culture. I don't think golfers who play at the preferred private venues, and I represent a "union" of these concerned members, will go on reading your posts if you do not weed out the "riff-raff". Please do so immediately, for the sake of cultured golfers everywhere, who enjoy your clever commentary.

Boy, golf bloggers are a lame-ass lot. I'll bet the pro's duck for cover when they see these characters coming. The word stalker comes to mind when I read this guys "Paula" blog post.

1) Get his own life.
2) Golf more with his stupid friends
3) Let the LPGA promote their own tour
4) Visit a real shrink (not a sports psycologist) when his female golfer obsessions get the better of him
5) Spend some quality time with his wife and kids
6) Stay away from golf trade shows
7) Retire his dumb golf blog

I think most of us would agree: if given a chance to meet Paula Creamer, we'd be totally there. She's an ultra talented champion who seems really nice. What's not to like?
ReplyDeleteMr DF, If the golf blogs out here don't meet your standards, why not write your own golf blog? You seem to have no shortage of strong opinons on all manner of golf subjects. Your own blog would allow you to express them openly (or anonymously as you seem to prefer), and not just in the comments section of someone else's blog. You could even select your own topics and take them wherever you wanted, and you'd no longer have to read the so called lame-ass blogs. It would give you your own forum!
I'd subscribe to your golf blog and I'm sure many others would as well... We're always looking for fresh new voices in the golf blogosphere. Anyway, just a suggestion.
