Another day, another Paula post...And that shouldn't surprise anyone.
This "it" girl of the golf world has so much going on right now that multiple weekly Paula posts will probably become commonplace around here. In fact, the title of this post was inspired by Paula's eyeware collection for Sundog. In addition to "Strive" (which she definitely does) Paula's other designs are called "Prowl" and "Impression".
My friends over at RizzoSports, caught up with the gorgeous golf girl recently and asked her about her lots of things; from her beginnings in the game, to how she celebrates her ever more frequent wins. They even asked her about golf dating... and came up with one outrageous question that had her responding, "...Huh??"
It's an awesome interview, so check it out. Because, if you're like me, you just can't get enough of the fun, fabulous Paula Creamer.

She's the best. It's amazing how attractive and appealing today's women golfers are. I come from a time, a few decades ago, when they were not.
ReplyDeleteI think it must be very difficult for a golfer like Paula who is so competitive, and obviously wants to be the best in the world and play top level golf, to realize that she'll need to be equally dedicated to marketing herself, sucking up to sponsors and looking really good all the time (ok, that's not so difficult for her).
ReplyDeleteAll that off course work must get very distracting and I'm pretty sure there are many times she just wishes she could concentrate on the game.
About the comment from Anonymous that LPGA golfers were not always attractive:
ReplyDeleteLPGA members of the 70's were not so encouraged to show it off. Jan Stephenson and Laura Baugh were confident with their sexuality, of course. But they weren't the only attractive golfers.
Comparing today's teenagers with more mature LPGA members of the 70's may not be fair. Juli Inkster was a doll as a collegian in the late 70's. After a few children, maybe not quite the same.
Was Nancy Lopez as attractive as today's kids when she stormed the tour in 1978? All Star jock husband Ray Knight thought she was very pretty. So did I.
Today's LPGA stars seem sexier because they're younger and because they're packaged better.
I agree with Jet, a lot of it is packaging. The golf clothes available, even just a few years ago were hardly flattering, while today's stars have their clothing custom made. You see Paula wearing an Adidas dress but you can be sure it's not "off the rack" it's made especially for her. Must be nice ;)
