.
Three weeks from now the Travelers Championship will be officially underway.
Personally, I find that hard to believe because last year's event seems so ...recent. ~ But then, that's how everything seems once you've had a few too many...um...birthdays.
Anyway, I was looking through my photos of the 2008 Travelers Championship and remembering what an awesome time I had. I was covering the event for "Red Tee Tales", my daily blog on GolfforWomem.com. The magazine ultimately fell victim to the economy and the changing media landscape, and is still missed by many. The Travelers Championship however, promises to be better than ever.
I'm a CT native and this is an opportunity for me show off my amazingly stellar state, and to urge anyone who's considering CT as a vacation destination to come. To that end, I took my old pics and threw together this video - a CT/Travelers Championship MashUp - with the assistance of Animoto.
OK. It's the first time I've used this wonderful web app, so the end result is a bit...disjointed, but you get the idea... right?
So come for the tournament and the top tier players, then stay a little longer to take in our coastal villages, cosmopolitan casinos, and gorgeous golf courses.
I'll be featuring some "CT - Must See" destinations over the next couple of weeks.
CT does look like a perfect vacation spot. I love the lighthouses!
ReplyDeleteSorry I missed 'Red Tee Tales'. Do you have any snippets I could read?
ReplyDeleteNice pics.
ReplyDeleteYou handled Animoto near perfectly.
You're a regular Quasimoto, though your features more resemble Esmeralda.
We're spending that weekend in Mystic and have tickets for Sat. On Sunday we're playing at Fox Hopyard which our CT friends say is great, have you played there?
ReplyDeleteI hear Sergio is playing the Travelers this year. It might be your best chance to make a move GolfGirl.
ReplyDelete;)
I love the CT/Travelers video. Great photos of Bill Haas and Jason Day in there. I remember the Vijay and Justin Rose pics from GFW. I'm going to try to make it for the ProAm. Will you be there for that?
ReplyDelete"To that end, I took my old pics and threw together this video."
ReplyDeleteTaking a shot at translating Hanniganese, I presume by "threw together" you mean "spent several agonizing hours trying to get it just right."
"But then, that's how everything seems once you've had a few too many...um...birthdays."
ReplyDeletePatricia, just don't hand in your scorecard and no one will know the actual number of birthdays.
Lots of people, especially the ladies, get emotional over the "zero" birthdays -- 30, 40, 50, etc.
Personally, I find myself almost completely over them in 10 years or so.
